In a time rife with diminishing approval ratings and political
turmoil, President George W. Bush sought to counter critics who
say he continues to avoid speaking to minority groups such as
the NAACP and Urban League. In what Press Secretary, Ben Fooldemall
calls, “a step in the far right direction”, Bush
spoke to the National Council on Face Relations (NCFR). Although
those with facial freezilitus comprise
only .00000000004 percent of prospective voters, Fooldemall stressed
that these efforts were a sincere attempt by President Bush to
connect with all Americans. “We feel if those with Facial
Freezilitus are as stupid as they look, we no doubt will be able
to win them over with our firm, yet loose, and steady, yet shaky
political strategy.
Speaking before an audience of odd looking, yet intently listening Facial Freezilitus
Sufferers President Bush stated, “As Prez ‘dent of the U-notted States
of Amerca ah will not let the evil doers take that goofy look offa yer face.
An I want y’all tuh know I’m rot there wiccha in unity, comraderity
and cohesivosity during this tohm of struggle and perseverancity.” Immediately
following Bush’s speech, NCFR spokesperson Ann Pursalipp, was asked what
what her thoughts were on the President’s words, to which she promptly
responded, “Perseverancity?”
